PhD position in Immunology

Successful candidates will employ state-of-the-art experimental approaches and cutting-edge-analysis tools to perform projects in molecular and cellular immunology. The research group headed by Prof. Anne Krug focusses on dendritic cell biology and questions related to the development, differentiation and functional specialization of dendritic cell subpopulations in steady state and inflammation/infection combining in vivo work on the murine immune system with in vitro studies using human immune cells from healthy donors, vaccinees and patients. Prior experiences in molecular biology, cellular immunology, bioimaging or in vivo work as well as interest and basic knowledge in bioinformatics (e.g. analysis in R or MATLAB) are desired.
PhD students will benefit from a structured training platform provided by the Integrated Research Training Group ‘Cell-Fate Decisions in the Immune System’. For more information on the research group see www.immunologie.med.uni-muenchen.de/research/ag_krug.
